ABOUT ME
Hello, my name is Samson Ng.

I am a Bachelor Degree student studying in CityU SCOPE. My course is Information Technology for Businesses (ITB), which teach me many knowledge and skills about IT. I believe that I can make good use of the things that I learn from the class in my future career
MY DREAM CAREER

Ever since I was little, I was hoping to be a programmer in the future. This course will help me a lot for my dream.
​
To prepare my dream career, my 121COM course have teach me a number of programming languages such as Python and HTML. In the course, I have learn many useful programming skills, which may help me write program effectively in the future career
​
For developing as a professional within IT, I have start to read many materials from the internet, so I can learn more basis of different programs. Since IT refer people different programming languages to write program in different level, having more knowledge of programming languages in a early time can build a professional IT development.
​
There are numerous today's market job that refer the skills of programer. Therefore, I will expect my prospective career choice to be Web or Game programer. People nowadays always use the internet to view website for information searching, watching online news or using accounting, and some people may also playing games with others through the internet. Thus, being a Web or Game programer may be a big advantage compare to other jobs, that's the reason I choose those programer jobs.
To achieve my dream, I will set up a position which I would at least get a 2nd Honour Degree. To gain it, I will do some preparation in the next 3 years. For example, I will start to work hard at school and always pay attention in the lesson, so that I won't miss anything and get more IT knowledge to do my test, exam and project better. Therefore, I can have a high GPA to get 2nd Honour Degree or even higher than that.

MY CAPABILITIES
About my capabilities, I am actually good at programming, since I have already started to learn different program in my early secondary. Programs like Python, HTML, PHP and C++ are my expert programming language that I have practice a lot. Given that I have those capabilities, I would like to be a programmer, which is my aspiration.
SHORTFALL
However, I have to recognise that I have some shortfall in my capabilities. Actually, I am sometimes lazy to practice programming since I rather want to have other entertainment. This make me forget some of the codes sometimes and so I can't write a program effectively. To improve this, I will start to spend more time on programming practice, so as to strengthen my programming skills.
HOW IÂ FEEL MYSELF
To conclude myself, I think I actually have many strengths in programming, and I feel that the pictures that I painted myself are always positive. However, I have to recognise that I still have some weaknesses that I need to improve. I am sometimes lazy for practicing programming. Therefore, in the future years of the degree, I hope I could spend more time for programming to achieve my dream career. By this, I can make my whole life better!
EVIDENCE
As I have just said in the portfolio, I always practice drawing in Python programming, which make me have more confidence to write Python. That's the main reason why I think IÂ am good at programming, especially Python. In the future, I will keep practicing and continue to learn more program so as to strengthen my programming skills.
